UniPodFest Bursary Application

We are pleased to offer a small number of free ticket bursaries for UniPodFest.  The bursary is supported by The Radio Academy. Five bursary tickets are available. The bursary covers the cost of a ticket to attend the event but does not include travel or accommodation.

The bursary recipient will also receive one year free membership to The Radio Academy. Bursary places are limited and will be awarded at our discretion.

To be eligible, you need to meet at least one of the criteria below and complete the application form by 23:59 on Friday 23rd March 2025. We will let the successful applicants know by Friday 29th March 2025.

If you apply, it’s because you understand the ethos of the scheme and why it is necessary for ensuring UniPodFest remains accessible to people from a variety of backgrounds, please check the eligibility criteria below. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • People who are subject to financial hardships which may prevent them from attending.
  • Those who are currently underrepresented or face difficulties working in the media industry – this may include, but is not limited to, people with disabilities, LGBTQI+, people from ethnic minority backgrounds, women, carers and so on.
  • Based in the UK.

This bursary is NOT intended for companies or organisations.

We ask that successful recipients send a short synopsis about how they found UniPodFest after they have attended, to share on the Radio Academy website. It will be shown here: https://www.radioacademy.org/bursaries/

Please note that successful applicants’ data will be shared with The Radio Academy to enable the complimentary one-year membership included with the bursary.

We will review bursary applications with a panel of people to help make the selection. We will make sure that your application is anonymised and that the panel keep all entries confidential.
